More about Scott
Born and raised in rural Vermont, Scott attended college and earned his BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont. After spending some time working in special education and coaching swimming, he traded the Green Mountains of Vermont for the Panhandle of Florida, earning his MS in Higher Education from the Florida State University.
After graduating from FSU, Scott returned to the Northeast settling in Poughkeepsie, New York to work at Vassar College in Residential Life. After 3 years at Vassar College, he moved to Boston metro area to work at Bentley University in Residential Life.
Scott earned his PhD in higher education from Boston College, and his dissertation was a quantitative analysis of undergraduate men's alcohol consumption, and how it relates to ethnic identity, gender norms, and privilege. After graduating from BC, Scott moved to Memphis, Tennessee to work at the University of Memphis.
